Irma Poiter: Normally, health supplements are not really tested scientifically. However, the individual ingredients often are. Research the most prevalent ingredients in the product you are interested in. Natural Standard is a good resource (www.naturalstandard.com). Also, NutritionalTree.com (www.nutritionaltree.com) is a good place to research particular products to see if they work for others.
Jose Calaycay: I was not of the opinion that alternative medicine has to be tested. I also did not know that fruits and vegetable and other nutrition has side effect. I always thought that alternative mediines are naturtal stuff, nutrition and suppliment that our bodis are short of allowing it to become sick and by alternative, it means not pharmaceutical drugs that are killing us but regular things that we should be having but instead, our diets are bad bringing on all type of illness. alternative is the way to go. it's natural, healthy and God given....Show more
Karey Dunken: Did a quick search for Budwig Protocol. I can guarantee you that her protocol has not been tested scientifically. Not too sure what your qualifications for scientific study are... no double-blind, placebo studies have been done on that particular diet. Personally speaking, it looks like she advocates eating a healthy and balanced diet and avoiding environmental toxins and stress, but the focus is somehow put on the flax seed and cottage cheese portion of the diet.Your question is so broad, so it is tough to answer. Many alternative medicines and supplements (vitamins/minerals) have been researched, but their claims to treat disease have not. It takes a lot of money and time....Show more

Jasper Mangel: Alternative treatments do not need to be tested to be known as a treatment even for cancer. Magazines or web sites can write about an alternative treatment and that people have been using it to fight this or that disease. The manufacturer cannot even imply that it could be used to treat deseases unless FDA approved testing was performed. But, âreportersâ can say pretty much anything they want as long as they are reporting what they heard. Sometimes wo! rd of mouth makes a treatment famous such as Cancell now sold under the names Protocel and Cantron. Cancell became so well know in cancer circles that NCI (National Cancer Institute, $4 billion of your tax money a year) was forced to test it. It did very will in the test, but NCI smeared it in their test summary. This is exposed in detail on http://alternativecancer.us/testr.htm...Show more
Asley Quickle: determination is in basic terms the super term given to all varieties of therapeutic that are no longer the present "allopathic" skill. Allopathic = MDs, DOs, hospitals, etc. determination could desire to easily be called classic, as maximum varieties have been used efficiently a lot longer than modern-day Allopathic drugs has been the norm. modern-day allopathic care is the equivalent of McDonalds in easy terms merchandising McDonalds meals. you come across drugs, pharmacies, non-classic interventions there. you does not assume McDs to sell Burger King burgers. S! o, a term has progressed to cover all the different manufacturers of th! erapeutic arts: "determination." FWIW - in some international locations, determination skill are employed as a count of course by allopathic docs. interior the U. S. there's a lot concern approximately court docket cases, malpractice, etc., if an MD or DO strays from the allopathically authorized techniques....Show more
Clemmie Burkleo: There's actually quite a bit of misinformation out there. All ingredients in supplements MUST be scientifically tested to be sold in the U.S., and especially to say what they help with. Without scientific testing for safety, the FDA wouldn't allow a product to be sold at all. Also, scientific testing is required to back up claims.... like for Vitamin E to say it's good for Cardiovascular health, tests have to be run to show proof that it does or the FDA wouldn't allow those claims to be stated on the bottles or in any literature. That's the reason some of the MLM supplement companies got in trouble when they were making claims that had n! o scientific studies to prove the claims.I have also never heard of the Budwig Protocol, but after a little searching, it seems like they probably aren't tested any more than the basic requirements to be in the country... but I can't find any listing of what tests they've done....Show more
