does the zone diet work?

Alane Antes: That sounds really good. Some of my suggestions:Dont eat white bread, eat whole grain or weat instead. Look for ones that have a lot of fiber. Fruit- melons like canteloupes, watermelons, ect are the most filling and have the least calories. Try not to have bananas more than twice a week because the! y are constipating and store exess stuff in your colons. Carro! ts and celery get boring after a while, so may i suggest low fat ranch dressing? Try a lot more veggies because those are the best food you can ever eat. Peppers... broccoli... the ones with bright dark colors are the healthiest for you.Special K berries is soooo good :) Just make sure you use the portion size cause, well in my case, i could eat the whole box lol they are so good i love them.Yay veggie burgers and veggie subs! I am a vegetarian are you? Not eating meat helps reduce body fat because the meat we eat is all fat and muscle from animals! ew!Tomatoe and cucumber salad is really good... you can even add onions because they have like no calories. Just be careful of the extra stuff you mix because a tablespoon of olive oil has over 200 calories.Do peanut butter and jelly on whole weat bread, but use more jelly than peanut butter because that has sooooo much calories you wouldnt even beleive it!!At stop and shop or shoprite or wherever your grocery store is, i sugges! t you buy lemonade crystal light packs. They are cheap and only has 5 calories for each serving.Oh, and also, if you are craving like junk food or something like chips or whatever, eat popcorn!!! A whole bag only has like 140 calories and it is soo yummy.For exercising, i would say walk or job at least 30 minutes every day, do 20 situps and pushups if you can, and just keep moving! Janeen Perona: There are books on the zone diet and even the website that has some good information on it (zonediet.com). It does work and once you get used to how you are supposed to eat, it gets really simple. It depends on how bad your diet is now, a lot of your bad food choices obviously need to be thrown out and replaced with healthier options. But, this is the change you are looking to make anyway if you are interested. The principle is to eat for the size you want to be, not the size you are, and then split that into the number of servings you should eat per day and the number of servings at each meal and snack you should eat. 1 serving is 7grams of protein, 10 grams of cabs and 3 grams of fat. So a meal might be 5 servings which is 35gm protein, 50gm carbs and 15gm fat. Hope that helps...Show more

Basil Blasingame: Is this diet good?i just want to loose a few pounds. and slim down a bit. so i decided to go with this:snacks- yogurt, fresh fruit, celery, carrots, pickles, ect...breakfast- fruit, special k red berries cereal w/ 2% milklunch- ramen noodles, boca burgers (veggie burger), tomatoe-cucumber sandwich, veggie sub occasionally, and pbj occasionallydinner- depends what my parents make but i will pick out the bad stuff.drinks- water, diet green tea (hate regular), occasionally a fruit smoothie.im not planning on eating all of this at once but those are my diet options. (i would only eat one from each section is what i mean. not everything in that section) i am in my ! teens and active in a sport at school therefore i practice 4times a wee! k and i am planning on starting to jog 1 or 2 days in the mornings when the weather improves here.is this good for me just to slim down some?any other sugestions? also any exercises that can help me tone my muscles. i hate my (continue)...Show more
