I need some animations book recommendations ?

Lupe Sancen: 2D or 3D animation?Books good for both (essential to any animator of any kind in my opinion):Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston - The Illusion of Life (Amazing book, it details the history of Disney animation but is also stuffed full of great tips for animators; I am a CG animator but found it both inspiring and very useful.)Richard Williams - The Animator's Survival Kit (Probably the best book about learning animation and all the concepts and technical details out there, really mandatory for anyone studying animation! Also demonstrated using 2D animation but the concepts are all the same, as noted by the author.)More specifically for traditional animation, I also recommend "Cartoon Animation" by Preston Blair. If you plan to go into computer animation, I most highly recommend "Character Animation in 3D" by Steve Roberts and "Stop Staring: Facial Modelling and Animation Done Right" by Jason Osipa (obviously just for facial animation, but absolutely indispensable ! if you will be doing any of this)....Show more
